Disney is currently developing a new standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars movie with Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry attached to helm.
There are presently no details on the plot, but it has been rumored that Ewan McGregor may return to the role.
Tonight at the Golden Globes saw Ewan McGregor nab the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television where the actor addressed rumors about returning to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new Star Wars movie.
“There’s a lot of talk. But [it’s] just that. I’d be happy to play him again. . . There is no plan,” Ewan McGregor said.
Ewan McGregor did continue with mention that he loved Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
“I love the new one. I saw it over Christmas. . .it was really, really beautiful,” the actor said.
