Ewan McGregor was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Hayden Christensen was in attendance.
In a recent interview with Variety, the pair said they are hopeful McGregor will continue to play more Obi-Wan in the Star Wars universe.
âI loved, more than anything, getting to know Alec Guinnessâ work because I was playing him as a young man,â McGregor said. âEven now with the series, thatâs my personal challenge â if a take feels a bit like him, Iâm happy.â
He also said that after 25 years, he isnât tired of playing the role.
âI really do hope we get a chance to do another one,â McGregor said. âBetween where we ended off in the series and when Alec Guinness comes on screen with Luke Skywalker, I think thereâs another few stories to tell in there.â

Likewise, Hayden Christensen, who presented McGregor with his Walk of Fame star, shared his enthusiasm for a second season.
âIf it means that I got to do more with Ewan, then thatâs a no-brainer, but I really hope that he continues with the character,â Christensen said. âJust as a fan, itâs so exciting to get to watch him play Obi-Wan â heâs just so good at it.â
Christensen added at the event, âEwan McGregor is one of our great actors and, in my opinion, the coolest person on the planet. To watch him embody this character, itâs like watching magic⊠the kind that really makes you believe in something bigger. He wasnât just playing Obi-Wan. He was Obi-Wan. He is Obi-Wan. I want to thank you for being the best Jedi Master that anyone could have ever hoped for⊠I love you, brother.â
