Evangeline Lilly Not Afraid Of Coronavirus; Compares To Martial Law

Evangeline Lilly is not afraid of the coronavirus as the Ant-Man actress takes to social media to offer she isn’t participating in social distancing.

Lilly posted an image of her morning cup of tea on Instagram where she noted she dropped her kids off at gymnastics and is living her life, despite the calls for a self-quarantine.

“Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing,” said Lilly.

Evangeline Lilly says coronavirus quarantine is “not for this family”

Of course, the comments under the post were lit up with people bashing her approach, with one in particular questioning “No Corona House Arrest???” to which Evangeline responded, “Not for this family.”

Evangeline Lilly is also an apparent backer of freedom, something mostly unheard of in Hollywood, as she says the quarantine is too close to Martial law.

“Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu. It’s unnerving…Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power,” Lilly wrote in another comment.

Evangeline Lilly also added she is not worried about the coronavirus even though she lives with her father who has stage 4 cancer.

“I am also immune-compromised at the moment,” she said. “I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”

Another comment saw Lilly remark that what is being said about the coronavirus doesn’t add up.

“I think we all need to slow down, take a breath and look at the facts we are being presented with. They do not add up to the all-out, global lockdown, control, pandemonia and insanity we are experiencing. I hope that people will find their peace and sanity where you are soon. Sending you loving prayers,” she said.

I can also add that I have a friend who lives in Hong Kong who said it isn’t all that bad, and it is even learned the Chinese will be re-opening their theaters:

Hey everyone who is just starting to live in the virus world… as you can see, I am healthy and happy! Seeing the news about the virus spreading definitely can make you panic but please don’t. Most people who get this virus get a very mild case of it and are able to recover. You just have to be smart! It’s been a few months in Hong Kong dealing with this so here are some ways to stay healthy…
