Paul Rudd is the first Marvel actor to respond to the big Avengers: Doomsday casting, which saw 27 actors announced for the film.
On Wednesday, Marvel Studios released a live five-hour video announcing the cast, which clocked in 275 million views and set the record for Marvel’s largest live audience.

“A little emasculating”
The Ant-Man actor appeared on Jimmy Fallon and was asked about the casting. Rudd and Fallon had some fun as Marvel’s announcement featured an Ant-Man-sized chair:
“I saw that announcement. I did. I thought, ‘Oh that’s clever, yes I’m Ant-Man.’ But there’s still the part of me that’s like, it’s a little emasculating to have a little tiny chair. But at least, finally, one that will actually fit me when I sit down.”
Marvel snipers are out
As it is a Marvel movie, Rudd couldn’t offer anything about the movie, and they had some additional fun at the expense of the recent reports involving a certain leak and a group text:
“There is nothing that I can tell you. They are really secretive. It’s important… Clearly as we know, they never announce anything… It’s a major movie, you can’t be frivolous with this kind of stuff. It’s nothing like military secrets or anything, this is a major motion picture… This is not like some kind of coordinated attack anywhere… It’s Marvel, Jimmy, it’s important… So, no, there’s nothing I can tell you.”
