Deadpool 3 Will Be R-Rated Bloodbath With Wolverine, Some Rumors True

With news of the Deadpool 3 release date getting delayed, director Shawn Levy has opened up about the film including confirming some of the rumors are true, and describes the flick as an R-rated bloodbath involving Wolverine.

Regarding the rumors, all sorts of cameos are rumored as it is said Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson travels the Fox Marvel Multiverse which features characters from the Fox Marvel movies and Variants of said characters.

“I love the proliferation of casting rumors on the internet, because I never have to say what’s real and what’s fantasy, so I’m just going to go with the very cliche ‘no comment’ on all things casting [with] Deadpool 3,” Levy said on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle Show on YouTube. “I will say, we’re lucky on this one. There’s certainly — is this an answer? A lot of the internet rumors are completely false, but some of them aren’t.”

Going full speed ahead

Levy also recently chatted with Collider and says they are going full speed ahead as the flick will be an “R-rated bloodbath” and “raw” and “audacious” with both actors and characters in the spotlight.

“You have two major movie stars together in a movie playing their most iconic signature roles – that is director heaven,” said Levy. “So the story, the tone, the movie itself leans into that gift of having Deadpool and Wolverine co-starring in a movie for the first time. So, we’re definitely not running away from that.”

Will get the suit right

Regarding Wolverine, as seen in the first look image, for the first time Hugh Jackman will don the iconic yellow and blue Wolverine costume, Levy says they are going to get it right.

“Like the rest of the world, I’ve waited to decades to see Wolverine in a whole movie with Deadpool, and I don’t know if this is our last shot at Wolverine on screen, so I was going to make goddamned sure we get the old yellow and blue just once, and that we get it right,” Levy told EW .

New release date

Last Thursday saw the news the May 3, 2024 Deadpool 3 release date will shift because of the ongoing actors’ strike, as the flick won’t have enough time to finish.

While Deadpool 3 doesn’t have a release date as of yet, it’s said Captain America: Brave New World will move from its July 26, 2023 release date to the May 3 date held by the untitled Deadpool 3.

The flick also stars Emma Corrin as the villain; Leslie Uggams as Blind Al; Morena Baccarin returns as Vanessa; Rob Delaney as Peter; Stefan Kapicic as Colossus; Karan Soni as Dopinder; Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.
