DC Comics Destroys Marvel in 2025 Comic Book Sales

Comic Book sales rankings for 2025 are out, and it’s rough news for Marvel Comics.

According to data released by ICv2, Marvel only placed 8 titles in the Top 50 Best-Selling Comics of 2025, with the highest-ranking pure Marvel title — Ultimate Wolverine #1 — not showing up until #22.

That’s nearly two dozen spots below the #1 title, Deadpool/Batman #1, which was a DC/Marvel crossover.

Also notable: Amazing Spider-Man #1 — Marvel’s flagship title — didn’t hit until #25.

Meanwhile, DC Comics dominated, claiming nearly every spot in the Top 20 with Batman titles, Absolute Editions, and high-profile one-shots like DC K.O. and Martian Manhunter #1.

The Batman brand alone accounted for over a dozen spots in the Top 20.

It’s a stark contrast that reflects where fan interest — and dollars — went in 2025. For Marvel, the numbers paint a clear picture: DC won the year.
