Danny Glover Joins Jumanji Sequel

The Dwayne Johnson Jumanji sequel is quickly becoming another fan-favorite flick as Lethal Weapon‘s Danny Glover is announced as joining the cast.

Details on Glover’s role are being kept secret as is the plot.

Danny Glover joins the recent casting additions to the Jumanji sequel of Danny DeVito and Crazy Rich Asians breakout actress Awkwafina. Returning from the previous movie includes Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.

Johnson commented on the casting on social media where he offers a hint that the new actors are playing avatars the children become inside the world of Jumanji (much like the previous movie).

“He ain’t ‘too old for this sh-t!’” Dwayne Johnson posted on Instagram. “Welcome this OG legend and one of my action heroes, Danny Glover to our JUMANJI cast!! The magic of our JUMANJI Universe is ‘who turns into who?’ and I’m excited for our audience to join Danny and our entire cast on another wild and fun adventure.”

The untitled Jumanji sequel has a December 13, 2019 release directed by Jake Kasdan who wrote the script along with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Matt Tolmach is producing along with Johnson’s Seven Bucks banner and Kasdan.
