Earlier today Variety posted an article stating ABC wanted to cancel Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD following the fourth season, but that a mandate came down from Disney to continue the series.
I offered my thoughts in that I believe Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has been cancelled and that Season 5 is its last.
The latest that Agents of SHIELD Season 5 may be the series finale comes from Clark Gregg on Instagram.
The Agent Phil Coulson actor posted the new Agents of SHIELD poster along with “the final frontier.”
Now we all know that is a Star Trek reference and a reference for space – as Agent of SHIELD Season 5 is looking to be set in space – but fans have taken notice and are questioning if its the final season.
Hopefully I’m wrong, but if it is the last season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, I hope the series goes out with a bang.
