Brie Larson Sways On Social Media: Celebrates National Superhero Day

Brie Larson is known for her roles as Captain Marvel on screen, but the actress has also been making waves on social media lately with her shoutouts to superheroes around the world and for her love of exercise. From sharing her workouts to showcasing her admiration for fellow superheroes, Brie has been inspiring fans to stay active and embrace their own inner hero.

A few days ago for National Superhero Day, Brie Larson shared an image of herself from last September’s D23 Expo also featuring Iman Vellani from The Marvels and director Nia DaCosta. “Shout out to the superheroes who inspire and empower us on screen and in our everyday lives. Happy National Superhero Day,” posted Larson.

What is National Superhero Day?

National Superhero Day is a holiday celebrated annually on April 28th and is the day dedicated to honoring and celebrating superheroes from comic books, movies, TV shows, and other media. The holiday was created to recognize the heroic efforts and achievements of fictional superheroes who inspire and empower us with their strength, courage, and selflessness. National Superhero Day is a fun and lighthearted way to show appreciation for the fictional characters who have captured our hearts and imaginations over the years.

In super shape for The Marvels

Regarding her love of exercise, the 33-year-old actress is in super shape as she will be starring in The Marvels returning as Carol Danvers from the Ms. Marvel Disney Plus series, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain Marvel.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Brie Larson’s latest post on social media shows her “taking it easy on a Monday” as she sways back and forth on what appears to be a pilates machine.

“I don’t know what’s happening here, but it looks cool,” commented a fan, with another adding, “I love pilates! And you’re so good, Brie! Always inspiring us!”

Starring in Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+

Brie Larson also posted from the set of her latest series on Apple TV+, Lessons in Chemistry, where she can be seen listening to Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls. “What! A! Month!” she posted two days ago.

Set in the early 1950s, Lessons in Chemistry is based on the best-selling novel from Bonnie Garmus and follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes. The series premiers exclusively on Apple TV+ in the Fall.

Next Stars in Fast X and is rumored for Disney Plus and Netflix

Up next for Brie Larson is the Fast X movie which launches the final chapter of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began. Brie plays Tess, the daughter of Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody who appeared in the three previous movies and is thought dead.

While Brie Larson has said she is jobless after the release of The Marvels in November, various rumors have offered she will be starring in an upcoming Disney Plus series that combines National Treasure and Indiana Jones and that she may be starring in the Netflix Gears of War movie.
