Brie Larson Asked About Avengers: Doomsday Return While Promoting Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Brie Larson was asked about returning for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday while promoting The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and she didn’t give much away.

With a smirk, Larson answered, “Ah, you know I can’t talk about that, nice try.”

The moment immediately adds more fuel to the Captain Marvel speculation, but it still stops well short of confirming anything.

Brie Larson keeps Marvel fans guessing

Larson’s response is the kind of answer Marvel fans know well. She didn’t deny anything, but she also didn’t confirm that Carol Danvers is part of the movie.

The rumors do offer Larson won’t be a part of the film.

Marvel has not announced Captain Marvel for Doomsday

Marvel officially announced Avengers: Doomsday back in March 2025 and revealed a long list of cast members when production began (see below).

Brie Larson was not among the names included in that cast announcement.

However, that still does not necessarily rule her out. Marvel’s current movie page for Avengers: Doomsday lists the film’s release date as December 18, 2026, which leaves plenty of room for more reveals, with it rumored dozens more will appear.

For Easter, Robert Downey Jr. seemingly teased Avengers: Doomsday Easter Eggs related to the characters.
