Yesterday saw a reporter for the BBC tweet that Benedict Cumberbatch did not deny having a villain role in Batman Vs. Superman.
Now the BBC reports further on the conversation in that Benedict Cumberbatch didn’t deny he may be playing the Martian Manhunter.
The BBC brought up rumor of the actor playing Martian Manhunter with Cumberbatch responding: “That’s a fun one, I’ve not heard that one until tonight. I’m going to let that rumour run.”
Other characters that some have speculated Cumberbatch may be playing include The Riddler and even Brainiac.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
