âAnnabelle Comes Homeâ is the third installment of New Line Cinemaâs hugely successful âAnnabelleâ films starring the infamous sinister doll from the âConjuringâ universe. Gary Dauberman, the screenwriter of the âAnnabelleâ films, âITâ and âThe Nun,â makes his directorial debut on the film, which is produced by Peter Safran (âAquamanâ), who has produced all the films in the âConjuringâ franchise, and âConjuringâ universe creator James Wan (âAquamanâ).
Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her âsafelyâ behind sacred glass and enlisting a priestâs holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new targetâthe Warrensâ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.
The film stars Mckenna Grace (TVâs âThe Haunting of Hill House,â âGifted,â âCaptain Marvelâ) as Judy; Madison Iseman (âJumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,â âGoosebumps 2: Haunted Halloweenâ) as her babysitter, Mary Ellen; and Katie Sarife (TVâs âYouth and Consequencesâ and âSupernaturalâ) as troubled friend Daniela; with Patrick Wilson (âAquaman,â âThe Conjuringâ and âInsidiousâ films) and Vera Farmiga (âThe Conjuringâ films, upcoming âGodzilla: King of the Monsters,â TVâs âBates Motelâ) reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Dauberman directed the film from a screenplay he wrote, from a story by Dauberman & Wan. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Michelle Morrissey and Judson Scott served as executive producers.
Daubermanâs behind-the-scenes team included director of photography Michael Burgess (upcoming âThe Curse of La Lloronaâ), production designer Jennifer Spence (âAnnabelle: Creation,â âThe Nunâ), editor Kirk Morri (âAquamanâ) and costume designer Leah Butler (âAnnabelle: Creationâ). The music is by Joseph Bishara (âThe Conjuringâ films).
New Line Cinema presents, an Atomic Monster/Peter Safran Production, âAnnabelle Comes Home.â The film is set to open in theatres and IMAX on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
