Milly Alcock looks to be joining the action on James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow, while Sinqua Walls has also reportedly joined the cast of the Superman follow-up.
Alcock, who plays Kara Zor-El in Supergirl, was spotted in Atlanta by AtlantaFilming. Since Man of Tomorrow is now filming there, the assumption is she is in town for the DCU movie, where Supergirl is expected to help her cousin Superman take on Brainiac.
Sinqua Walls’ casting comes via The Hollywood Reporter, though no details about his role are known.
Milly Alcock Expected Back As Supergirl
Alcock is already leading Supergirl, which opens next month, but her reported Atlanta appearance points to the character having a role in James Gunn’s next Superman chapter.
Man of Tomorrow is expected to bring Brainiac into the mix, and Brainiac has major ties to Krypton, Superman, and Supergirl in DC Comics.
Kara joining Clark (and Lex) against Brainiac also gives the DCU a natural way to connect Supergirl to the larger Superman storyline instead of keeping her off in her own corner.

Supergirl Could Help Superman Fight Brainiac
The big speculation surrounding Man of Tomorrow is that Supergirl will help Superman battle Brainiac.
Brainiac is one of Superman’s biggest villains and is often tied to the destruction of Krypton, the bottled city of Kandor, and the wider cosmic side of DC. Bringing Supergirl into that fight would make sense, since Kara has her own connection to Krypton and could know more about the threat than Clark.
It also gives Gunn a way to build Man of Tomorrow as more than a straight Superman sequel. The movie could end up serving as a larger DCU event film, with Superman, Supergirl, Lex Luthor, and Brainiac all playing major roles.
Sinqua Walls Joins In Mystery Role
THR reports Sinqua Walls has joined Man of Tomorrow, but his character is being kept under wraps.
Walls came up on the 2000s TV classic Friday Night Lights and recently starred in the Peacock limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist alongside Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, and Don Cheadle.
On the film side, Walls led Hulu’s White Men Can’t Jump remake opposite Jack Harlow and appeared in Netflix’s Carry-On as the best friend of Taron Egerton’s TSA agent. He also appeared in The Blackening and starred opposite Brian Cox in the 2022 drama Mending the Line.
James Gunn’s DCU Keeps Expanding
Man of Tomorrow stars David Corenswet as Superman, with Nicholas Hoult back as Lex Luthor. The movie is expected to feature Brainiac as the major threat, with Gunn continuing to build out the DCU following Superman and Supergirl.
With Alcock now believed to be involved and Walls joining in a secret role, the cast keeps getting bigger.
Man of Tomorrow opens in theaters on July 9, 2027.
