Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 6 is back in business and now filming!
Following it being questioned if Agents of SHIELD would even return for a Season 6, ABC announced the series would be returning, but only with 13 episodes (from the regular 22).
The good news is that the series is returning and so is Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson and fan-favorite Jeff Ward returns as Deke; Comic-Con also saw it announced that Clark Gregg is directing the first episode of Season 6, which the actor took to social media today to let it be known he has started filming.
“Hard at work on the show that will never ever ever reveal its code name,” Gregg teased.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 6 returns next Summer following Clark Gregg appearing in the Captain Marvel movie and following whatever happens in May’s release of The Avengers 4.
The bigger question might be though what happens to the characters? Last we saw, “future” Fitz had seemingly died, but his past self still remains frozen somewhere in space with Simmons trying to find him; Coulson and May “retired” to Tahiti, and Mac became the new leader of SHIELD, with no one knowing what happened to Deke.
The last two seasons of SHIELD were really good, with last season especially done well; read my review here.
