ABC has renewed Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD for a Season 6.
It’s announced Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 6 will consist of only 13 episodes (from the normal 22).

It’s also unknown if these will be the last episodes of the series (Fox recently halved Gotham and is ending it).
Agents of SHIELD getting renewed was on the fence as the live ratings were pretty low; however, things picked up for the series in DVR viewings, and the series also does well in international markets.
It has been previously made known that Marvel CEO/Chairman Ike Perlmutter (holds one of the highest amounts of Disney stock) stepped in to get previous seasons renewed, so something similar could be going on for Agents of SHIELD Season 6.
Clark Gregg also makes his MCU return in the Captain Marvel movie, which gets released March 8, 2019.
It will be interesting to see what Marvel TV does for Agents of SHIELD 6 following the events in The Avengers: Infinity War.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez.
The Agents of SHIELD Season 5 finale, “The End,” airs Friday at 9pm ET on ABC.
ABC also announced Inhumans has been cancelled.
