Taron Egerton Wants To Join The MCU; Maybe Not As Wolverine

With the X-Men now controlled by Kevin Feige and getting rebooted within the MCU, some fans have offered that Taron Egerton could play the new Wolverine.

In an interview, Egerton says he would like to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but questions if it would be as Wolverine.

ā€œI think I love Marvel, and I love the movies, and I’d love the excuse to get in shape, and I’d love to be a part of it. I mean, whether [Wolverine’s] realistic or not – I don’t know, but I would love to,ā€ Egerton said.

The latest regarding the X-Men and Wolverine becoming a part of the MCU is that it seems to be quite a few years away, as Feige has said five years.

ā€œIt’ll be a while. It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set,ā€ Feige said back in April referring to the Disney Fox deal. ā€œSo really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where [the X-Men will appear] right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home. That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.ā€

Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo has also said Wolverine has ā€œgot to be set aside for a little while.ā€

Rumors have it that Marvel is excited to recast Wolverine, but some offer bad news in that fans might not too happy.
