Zack Snyder has shared a new Instagram image showing himself with Turki Alalshikh, confirming the two were spending time together in Saudi Arabia, which happens to follow renewed talks about Paramount buying WBD and the restoration of the SnyderVerse.
“Hanging out with my friend @turki at his recording studio in Riyadh,” Snyder wrote.
The post immediately caught attention given Alalshikh’s growing influence across film, sports, and entertainment, and Snyder’s increasing involvement with Saudi-backed projects.
Saudi Connection Tied To Snyder’s UFC Movie Brawlers
The meeting comes as Snyder continues development on Brawlers, his upcoming UFC film project, which is known to involve Saudi backing.
Alalshikh has played a major role in expanding Saudi Arabia’s presence in combat sports and entertainment, making the connection notable beyond a casual visit.
Snyder’s presence in Riyadh further reinforces that his relationship with Saudi partners is active and ongoing, not theoretical.

Insiders Say Saudis Love The SnyderVerse
According to our insider sources, Saudi backers are big fans of the SnyderVerse and see its darker, mythic tone as a strong fit for global audiences.
Insiders say there is real interest in reviving the SnyderVerse under the right corporate conditions, particularly if Paramount Skydance ends up acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Saudis are also in part responsible for bringing back Brett Ratner and Rush Hour 4, as they are financially backing the project. Ratner’s production company happened to finance the SnyderVerse.
We’re told the Saudis favor “muscular” filmmaking style. Well, also rumored back at Paramount is Michael Bay on a new Transformers movie, with Shia LaBeouf.
If there’s any doubt about why Saudi investors would back a SnyderVerse return, consider their $55 billion purchase of Electronic Arts, a deal driven largely by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s passion for gaming.
