If things go well for the release of the Snyder Cut on HBO Max next year, fans can expect a Justice League 2 involving Darkseid and the continuation of the “Snyder Verse.”

Zack Snyder recently appeared on The Nerd Queens YouTube channel where he showed off cool Darkseid and Martian Manhunter art and also said how much he likes the Jared Leto Joker, and Snyder also confirmed he does have plans for a Justice League 2.

“What do I say to the world about, you know, what happens when Darkseid comes to Earth?” he teased. “Then what? You know, is that a thing? And I think, listen, the truth is that, did I write and did I have and conceive a complete… do I know what happens when Darkseid? Yes. I do know what happens. To say and to speculate about what that is, that would be exciting. I think that’s a fine thing.”

So we see Zack says it’s okay to talk about a potential Justice League 2 as he actually wrote the story that involves Darkseid making his way to Earth, which fits with what has been said to be the final scene of the Snyder Cut (which could be changed now that Zack is adding a lot more footage).

Without getting into too many spoilers, the Snyder Cut looks to feature Darkseid in a few scenes as the New God will be featured on an ancient mural and it’s thought Darkseid will be featured in a flashback scene as Uxas (which was his name prior to Darkseid where Uxas actually stole the powers of the Old Gods for himself) fighting the Greek gods of Earth. It could also be possible that Darkseid could be featured in a Justice League 3 or more.

Zack included Uxas/Darkseid in the Snyder Cut teasers. See below.

Rumors also offer if the Snyder Cut is a big success it could lead to spinoffs involving Ben Affleck’s Batman, Jared Leto’s Joker, Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke, and more.
