The second trailer for A24 and director Alex Garland’s Civil War has been released which per the title offers a glimpse into the intense conflict that occurs within the United States in the present day.
Garland is known for Ex Machina, 28 Days Later, and Annihilation.
Update: Civil War will be making its worldwide premiere at the SXSW on March 14 at the Paramount Theater in Austin, TX.

What is Civil War about?
The official synopsis is yet to be released, but similar to the first trailer, Nick Offerman plays the President.
“The Western forces of Texas and California are welcome back to these United States as soon as their illegal secessionist government is deposed,” Offerman’s character says in the trailer.
Kirsten Dunst plays a journalist who seems to be trying to gain access to the U.S. Capitol.
“From sea to shining sea,” teases the trailer referencing America the Beautiful. “This is civil war.”
The first trailer also added, “19 states have seceded. The United States Army ramps up activity. The White House issued warnings to the Western Forces as well as the Florida Alliance. The three-term president assures the uprising will be dealt with swiftly.”
