It’s reported that Seth Rogen is developing an R-rated Venom animated movie for Sony which would be separate from the Tom Hardy live-action movies, separate from the Tom Holland Spider-Man, and separate from the animated Spider-Verse films.
Seth Rogen is a big comic book fan and was recently behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem animated movie, which was well-received.
Rogen is also no stranger to adapting R-rated comic book properties as he developed the Preacher series, and produces The Boys and its spinoff, Gen V, as well as Invincible.

The info comes via Giant Freakin Robot whose same sources were right on the money about Donald Glover appearing in Across the Spider-Verse.
According to the report, Seth Rogen is currently writing the movie for Sony which will coincide with Sony’s existing live-action Venom films, much like Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse did with the Tom Holland Spider-Man films in the MCU.
The news also comes with a Venom video game in development which is supposed to be released in 2025 from Insomniac Games, according to the leaks.
Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 also gets released later this year on November 8.
The character appeared in animated form in the Spider-Man: The Animated Series released in 1994.
