Stephen Amell Teases Green Arrow Goatee; Wants Kevin Smith To Direct; Spotted With Jason Momoa

It look as if we might get the Green Arrow goatee from the comics on the Arrow TV show as Stephen Amell took to Facebook to tease the look.

Amell notes a while ago he said he would never grow the goatee, but he counters that by stating he’s an “idiot.”

A fan in the comments also suggests that since Kevin Smith recently directed an episode of The Flash, that Stephen Amell should work with Smith, which Amell thinks is a good idea.

“This is a f—ing awesome idea,” agreed Amell.

Stephen Amell was also spotted with fellow Arrow actor David Ramsey along with the DCEU version of Aquaman, Jason Momoa.

“Three amigos at an Inn called Cock…,” Ramsey posted on Instagram.

Amell also has TMNT 2 opening next month; he plays Casey Jones.

Possible Spoilers For The Walking Dead Season 7 Negan Killing

Possible spoilers land online for The Walking Dead Season 6 finale and Season 7 premiere regarding just who Negan may have killed — or may not have killed.

TMZ reports Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Steven Yeun (Glenn) were riding their motorcycles in Peachtree City, GA near the set of The Walking Dead when the two came upon an accident.

It’s reported the two actors jumped into action to assist.

Obviously, the spoilers come from the fact that if Norman Reedus and Steven Yeun are on the Season 7 set of The Walking Dead, that means they survived.

The best guess as to who Negan killed is now Abraham, as anybody else would be rather lame: Rick and Carl are known to have survived judging from what Negan had to tell them; Negan probably won’t kill a female (doesn’t in the comics), and killing Eugene probably wouldn’t be the best choice as he’s not a “likable” character. Who else is there?

It is possible either Reedus or Yeun are on set for some sort of flashback scene, or maybe even the producers are keeping the cast together in an attempt to shield who actually dies.

That’s one issue a lot of fans had with the way Season 6 went out — that we would find out who dies just by the simple fact the actor wouldn’t be on set for filming. When it comes down to it, The Walking Dead Season 6 finale will probably go down as one of the worst cliffhangers in television episodic history.

“The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.

Details On DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Spoiler Future & Season 2

Spoilers follow for tonight’s episode of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

Without revealing too many details about tonight’s stellar episode of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, the episode did see the death of Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold.

However, as DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow happens to be a time travel show, it’s learned this is not the last we’ve seen of Leonard Snart.

Deadline reveals Wentworth Miller has signed a new contract with WB TV that will enable him to appear on any of the CW TV shows, which means he will no longer be a regular on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow next season, but the good news is that Snart will still appear at some point.

Regarding season 2 of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, it’s also revealed two new members will be joining the team, a male and female.

Greg Berlanti offered on Wentworth Miller and Captain Cold:

“We always knew that he wouldn’t be a permanent member of The Waverider. We also knew we loved him on the show and all the shows, Flash as well.”

“What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves where there really are a cast of characters,” Berlanti said. While Miller, who also has been filming the Prison Breakfollowup, “won’t be part of the team of Legends on board of The Waverider next year, he will have a very active role on the show.”

Miller’s is “the first contract not applicable to just one show,” Berlanti said. “In success we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows.”

“He is a guy who who was a villain at the beginning, finding the hero in him by the end,” Berlanti said.

On Season 2 of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow:

“One of joys and advantages is that it allows us to change in success who is on The Waverider and not,” Berlanti said. “Flash and Arrow are very much about building one team, while there is an anthology element to Legends.”

“Every year for this show people should expect a new adventure,” said Berlanti, dropping a few hints about Season 2. “There will be new teammates, a new big bad. Mixing and matching things is part of the fun of the show.”

“DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow” airs Thursday’s at 8pm ET on The CW starring Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, and Casper Crump as Vandal Savage.

Agent Carter Gets Cancelled

ABC has cancelled the Marvel Agent Carter TV series following two seasons.

The news shouldn’t be all that surprising as ratings weren’t that good. In addition, a few weeks ago it became known star of Agent Carter, Hayley Atwell, signed on for another ABC series, which has been green lit with Conviction.

Conviction will air for the 2016-17 season and is described as:

Atwell stars as a lawyer and the former First Daughter Hayes Morrison, who is about to accept a job offered from her sexy nemesis, NY District Attorney Wayne Wallis (Eddie Cahill), to avoid jail time for cocaine possession and avoid hurting her mother’s Senate campaign. Working with his team at the new Conviction Integrity Unit will let her use her brilliant mind to turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction, and give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family.

Update: ABC has also cancelled the Agents of SHIELD spinoff, Marvel’s Most Wanted.

Supergirl Moves To CW For Season 2

Good news for fans of Supergirl as Season 2 is green lit and will now air on The CW.

Supergirl will also see its production moved fom Los Angeles to Vancouver, which is also the home of Greg Berlanti’s other DC series, Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

The news comes after much speculation that Supergirl would move to The CW as CBS wasn’t sure if they were going to renew the series citing high licensing and production costs.

The talks with CBS actually helped out The CW as reportedly WB was already making changes to make Supergirl less costly, with the aforementioned move to Vancouver amongst them.

The Flash Grant Gustin recently crossed over to Supergirl, which saw a big spike in ratings. Supergirl and Melissa Benoist should be right at home on The CW, and with the move to Vancouver, more than likely we’ll see additional crossovers in the future as well.

First Look At Vanessa Hudgens In DC’s Powerless

NBC has officially picked up the DC comedy series Powerless, which stars Vanessa Hudgens, and released a first look at Hudgens as Emily as well as a peek at Crimson Fox.

Emily is described as: a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. It’s when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult ‘hero’ in her own right … even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers.

Powerless also stars Alan TudykDanny Pudi and Christina Kirk and will air on NBC for the 2016-17 season.

Charlie Hunnam & Alexander Skarsgard Were Up To Play Thor

It’s learned Chris Hemsworth wasn’t the only actor up to play Thor for Marvel Studios.

Thor writer Zack Stentz appeared on the Kevin Smith Fatman On Batman podcast and discussed writing Thor where he let it be known Charlie Hunnam and Alexander Skarsgard were up to play the son of Odin.

“…Thor. It’s like [writing] big blond guy. It could have been one of eight big blond guys,” Stentz said. “I was there. I was like, ‘Is that Alex Skarsgard? Is that the Sons of Anarchy guy?”

Kevin Smith then asked if Thor might have been Alexander Skarsgard.

“Yeah. Those were the other two main candidates who are Charlie Hunnam and  Skarsard,” Stentz said. “I love those guys, but I think Hemsworth was the right choice. Just that frickin’ charm he brought.”

Stentz also let it be known he and Ashely Miller were responsible for choosing to use Coulson (Clark Gregg) in Thor after Marvel told them Samuel L. Jackson wouldn’t be available due to the negotiations not working out. Stentz said they also chose to use Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.

Another actor up to play Thor includes Tom Hiddleston, who we all know went on to play Loki.

It’s also been sad WB had created Justice League concept art a while back with Charlie Hunnam as The Flash.

IDW Announces Locke & Key TV Series

IDW Entertainment To Bring Locke & Key To Television Creator Joe Hill To Write The Pilot

IDW Entertainment (“IDWE”) announced today that the award-winning, fan-favorite property Locke & Key is being developed as a television series. Author/creator Joe Hill will be writing the pilot and serving as an executive producer.

Locke & Key has garnered both awards and acclaim during its five-year run. Following the titular Locke family as they encounter magic beyond belief and evils beyond redemption, Locke & Key quickly won over readers and has since become a staple in introducing new readers to the medium. With the series adapted in dozens of languages across the globe, and more than a million copies sold worldwide, Locke & Key is an obvious choice to make the transition to the screen.

New York Times bestselling author, Joe Hill, has continually captivated readers through his gripping novels and award-winning comic series. Bursting onto the scene with his debut collection of short stories 20th Century Ghosts, Hill has continued to thrill audiences with the novels, Heart-Shaped Box, N0S4A2, and Horns, adapted into a feature-length film in 2013, starring Daniel Radcliffe. His forthcoming novel The Fireman debuts later this month. In addition to Locke & Key, his comic series The Cape, Thumbprint, Wraith, and the upcoming series Tales From The Darkside, have all been published by IDW.

“I love this story,” said Hill. “The seven years I spent working on Locke & Key was the happiest creative experience of my life and there still isn’t a day when I don’t think about those characters and miss visiting with them. The six books of the series are very like six seasons of a cable TV series and so it feels only natural to bring that world to the little screen and to see if we can’t scare the pants off viewers everywhere.”

Ted Adams and David Ozer from IDW Entertainment, and David Alpert and Rick Jacobs from Circle of Confusion (The Walking Dead) will serve as executive producers along with Joe.

“Having Joe at the helm of the pilot ensures that the series will hold true to the brand that fans around the world have come to love. Locke & Key is a true global franchise”, said David Ozer, President of IDW Entertainment.

IDW Entertainment is developing Locke & Key as a straight to series and will maintain worldwide rights to the project.
