Tom Holland waited to drop the big news when appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night that Spider-Man 4 is definitely happen and films next year.
The actor recently said he was still waiting to get things right with the movie, but on Fallon, he says everything is set.
Jimmy and Tom first joked how previously Holland basically lied about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
So Jimmy brought up Spider-Man 4 stating, âThere is some chatter that Spider-Man 4 is happening and that youâll be back as Spider-Man.â
Holland shot back, âWhat do you want to know?â
âCan we confirm this tonight?â asked Fallon.
âItâs happening,â confirmed Holland. âYeah, next summer.âÂ
Holland added, âNext summer, we start shooting. Everythingâs good to go. Weâre nearly there. Super exciting. Yeah, I canât wait.â
Update: Holland also appeared on GMA to promote his new non-alcoholic beer, Bero, and talked Spider-Man 4.
âAll I can tell you is that itâs happening,â he said. âWe are super close to having a creative that I think is really worthy of the fans. I think now, we feel confident that the idea is strong enough that we can finally say âthis is going ahead, weâre going to shoot next summer.’â
Holland added, âThe idea is crazy. Itâs a little different to anything weâve done before but I think the fans are going to really respond to it.â
Sony has yet to announce the official release date. Tom Holland will also be pretty busy in 2025 as he has also recently been announced to be starring in Christopher Nolanâs new movie which films early in 2025.
Spider-Man 4 rumors have offered that it could either be another big cosmic epic movie or a more grounded street-level approach. Holland also recently said he read the script with Zendaya, so it seems as if MJ will be back for the fourth movie. However, the end of No Way Home saw everybody forget about Peter Parker. A new or second female lead is also rumored.
