Tenoch Huerta Says Namor Is Back in Avengers: Doomsday, Teases Sue Storm

Tenoch Huerta has confirmed he is back as Namor in Avengers: Doomsday and teases scenes with Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm.

The Mexican actor appeared on La Resolana and was asked about his involvement in Marvel’s upcoming film.

Huerta admitted he has to be careful in interviews not to reveal too much but confirmed the Sub-Mariner’s participation.

Huerta on Returning as Namor

“When they told me about Namor’s participation in this new saga, it felt like coming up for air after holding my breath,” Huerta said (translated).

He explained that the announcement caught him by surprise: “My agents in the U.S. didn’t even know yet. They called me at midnight, and by 5:30 a.m. the news was already out.”

Huerta added that with Avengers: Doomsday featuring “about twenty-something characters,” everyone’s role is more condensed, but Namor is included. He also noted he’s back on diet and training to get into shape for the character.

The segment turned playful when “Mr. Fantastic” jokingly asked Huerta about his “relationship” with Sue Storm (played by Vanessa Kirby).

Huerta responded with a Marvel-style tease: “You’ll have to wait to see the movie, brother.”

He also seemingly confirmed having scenes as he praised Kirby, calling her a “great companion and co-star.”
