The Bride Trailer Released: Christian Bale as Frankenstein

Warner Bros. has dropped the first trailer for The Bride, the bold new reimagining of the Frankenstein mythos from Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The film, starring Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein, opens exclusively in theaters and IMAX on March 6, 2026.

A New Take on a Classic Tale

Set in 1930s Chicago, The Bride follows a lonely Frankenstein (Bale) who seeks out groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to help him create a companion.

Together, they revive a murdered young woman, giving life to Buckley’s Bride. What begins as a desperate act of creation soon spirals into chaos, unleashing murder, possession, and a radical cultural movement — with the Bride at the center of it all.

The trailer teases the film’s tagline: “There’s a monster inside us all.”
