Tatiana Maslany Wants A Serious She-Hulk

Tatiana Maslany Wants A Serious She-Hulk

With Daredevil: Born Again right around the corner, Tatiana Maslany is asked about whether she would play a serious version of She-Hulk.

Recently saw the news that She-Hulk won’t be in Daredevil: Born Again and that the series isn’t even going to recognize Charlie Cox having appeared in She-Hulk, which bombed with fans with its goofy take on the character and is insult to the fandom and lore. There won’t be a Season 2.

So with the goofy She-Hulk not working, how about the opposite approach?

What did Tatiana Maslany say about She-Hulk?

While promoting the release of her latest project, The Monkey, Tatiana Maslany was asked by Screen Rant her thoughts about Daredevil: Born Again ignoring her series and if she would like to appear in the show.

“Would I be born again? I mean, absolutely, he was so great. He was so fun, like a really fun person to play with,” Maslany responded. “And I think what he did so well was take a character that exists in a different tone and totally adapt him for this new tone, while still maintaining the integrity of the character, which is actually very funny, then. To see him collide with this sort of goofier world.”

When the site mentioned that they think She-Hulk could fit in with Daredevil: Born Again and be more serious, Maslany agreed.

“I agree,” she responded. “I have a serious, well, I have a lot of serious bones in my body.”

Daredevil showrunner addresses She-Hulk

Regarding Daredevil: Born Again and She-Hulk series, showrunner Dario Scardapane said they will be ignoring the show, especially the one night stand:

“I have plenty of leeway up until I hit the larger-scale plan for the MCU. So I try to ignore some stuff [from the wider universe]. We establish a very specific Daredevil, both in terms of his dilemma, down to the suit and where we’re picking him up in his life. You can say that Daredevil is canon in the MCU, those other events [in Spider-Man and She-Hulk] happened, but some of them we are not leaning into. His one-night stand with She-Hulk may be one of those things.”

Future of She-Hulk in the MCU

Regarding the future of She-Hulk in the MUC, it’s safe to say we won’t see Tatiana Maslany twerking anytime soon. As I first said, Daredevil: Born Again has been retooled to move it away from the goofy She-Hulk and make it more like the Netflix series. The showrunner actually says it’s more violent than the Netflix show.

Daredevil: Born Again premiers on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
