Watch: The Flash Spoilers Revealed & More

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19689:]]

The Flash returned tonight offering the answer to the question: Who is Harrison Wells?

Tonight saw Wells kill off Cisco as the tech genius was hot on Wells’ trail.

Prior to Wells stopping Cisco’s heart, Wells informed Cisco he was from the future; that his real name is Eobard Thawne; that he’s been stuck in the past for 15 years; that he meant to kill Barry in the past and not Barry’s mother; that returning home depends on The Flash; that he would kill Barry anyway, and that Eddie is a descendant of his.

In the comics, Eobard Thawne is from the 25th century known as both Professor Zoom and the Reverse Flash.

The episode also saw two other big reveals: Iris and Barry professed their love for each other, and Barry was forced to reveal himself to Iris as The Flash. Joe West was captured by the Weather Wizard with Barry forced to use his powers to save Central City from a Tsunami.

As seen earlier in the episode, when Barry was running through the streets, he noticed a double of himself. Wells seemed to explain it away as being a speed mirage – and Wells even showed us how it was done when he killed Cisco – however, this wasn’t the case with Barry as Barry had to go faster than he has ever ran before to stop the Tsunami, which sent him back in time to the exact moment he saw his double.

The episode ended there, with the preview hinting at what looks to be Barry able to change the events from this episode.

Also, was that a Quantum Leap reference at the end (“oh, boy”)?

At this past weekend’s PaleyFest, THR spoke with executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, Tom Cavanagh and Candice Patton about the events, and now the interview has been released offering the following details:

• It’s said not everything will be undone by time travel next week (but it’s more than likely Cisco will be saved).

• The revelation that Wells is Eobard Thawne looks to put to rest Eddie as Reverse Flash, with it said some great scenes are coming up between Wells and Eddie.

• Wells being in our time period is compared to one of us going back in time and living before plumbing or the internet: “Every day in this time is an assault on him.”

• Both Kreisberg and Cavanaugh don’t see Wells as a villain, but maybe even a hero: “There’s nothing he says in that scene with Cisco that isn’t the truth,” said Kreisberg. “He’s sorry he found out. He’s sorry it has to happen, but it does have to happen and there’s a scene in episode 16 which kind of mirrors this scene, that I think really speaks to that.”

• It’s said Iris will continue to look into Wells, though it’s against Barry’s wishes.

• Regarding what’s to come, it’s said Wells will start to share some of the future knowledge he has about some of the characters, and that episode 7 will feature a flashback to the beginning of the series from different perspectives including Wells’ own.

“Toward the ends of the season, a whole bunch of new questions will pop up and that will drive the series forward. Most of the questions that we proffered at the beginning of the season will be paid off,” Kreisberg said.

Arrow & Flash Cast Talk DC Movies

The cast of Arrow and The Flash attended PaleyFest where a pair of super cool trailer was released.

Clevver Movies YouTube also managed to ask the cast which of the DC movies they were most looking forward to.

John Barrowman offers when he was younger Aquaman was his fantasy, with Paul Blackthorne adding, “Oh, yeah. Me, too.” Barrowman then jokes, “I bet. He’s such a liar,” and offers a story about his husband, Scott: “I joke with [him] all the time that I’m going to give him an Aquaman outfit that he can swim around in the swimming pool with, but we’ll just leave it at that.”

Jesse L. Martin also likes Aquaman: “Jason Momoa is the man. And the picture they showed – it’s nothing at all like I thought Aquaman would look like, but it’s still really cool. Like really, really cool.”

Dominic Purcell Joins Arrow / Flash Superhero Team Spinoff

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19688:]]

Dominic Purcell is the latest to join the new CW superhero team spinoff of Arrow and The Flash.

Deadline reports Purcell will be reprising as Heat Wave from The Flash series.

Wentworth Miller was also previously confirmed, so the Captain Cold/Heat Weave duo remains intact for the spinoff.

Purcell also joins Brandon Routh, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz.

Yesterday also saw the news that the superhero team spinoff will not feature Robbie Amell, the other half of Firestorm, though the reason was unclear.

Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are behind the new series with the spinoff likely to be released next mid-season.

Is Robbie Amell Leaving The Flash & Firestorm?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19669:]]

What’s up regarding Robbie Amell, who plays one-half of Firestorm on The Flash?

With the announcement of the new Arrow/Flash superhero team spinoff came word that it will feature Victor Garber as Dr. Stein.

Caity Lotz also confirmed Firestorm for the series at a recent convention.

With news of Dr. Stein appearing, certainly the other half of Firestorm – Ronnie Raymond – will appear (right?).

However, now it’s learned Robbie Amell will not be appearing on the new spinoff.

Executive producer Greg Berlanti says there is a a particular reason for Robbie Amell’s absence, but didn’t offer anything further.

“I can’t say why,” Berlanti told EW.com.

It seems odd that Robbie Amell wouldn’t be appearing as Firestorm as even when Dr. Stein is in control, Amell’s likeness is used.

Is Robbie Amell leaving The Flash, with a new actor possibly coming in to replace him which will appear in the spinoff as well?

New Flash Details: Wally West, Bart Allen, Crisis On Infinite Earths & Reverse Flash

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19650:]]

We get some details and teases for upcoming episodes of The Flash as a new trailer and question-and-answer was held earlier tonight at the PaleyFest.

The new trailer showed a couple of interesting things: Eddie Thawne was shown shooting two police officers, with speculation that time travel may play a factor in his sudden turn, which hints at Thawne being Reverse Flash. Another scene revealed Laurel Lance’s trip to Central City where she reveals her identity to The Flash crew.

Update: The Flash footage is now online.

Details mentioned in the QnA:

It’s said Harrison Wells is just trying to get home, and he has a conversation with Joe West in an upcoming episode surrounding the mystery of Joe’s wife, which will be further explored in subsequent seasons.

It’s also said that Joe and Iris West will talk about what happened to Ma West, and it’s hoped The Flash can tackle both Wally West and Bart Allen in Season 2.

It’s also hinted that Iris will discover Barry’s secret, which was said – if it happens – will change everything.

We’ll learn who is taking care of the metahuman prisoners in STAR Labs, and it will be a while before Caitlin Snow and Cisco show off any of their own powers.

The DC Comics event “Crisis On Infinite Earth” will be used some time in the future.

Check out images from the event below.

“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on the CW.

Caity Lotz Talks Canary In Arrow/Flash Spinoff; Confirms Firestorm

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19557:]]

In a surprise move, Caity Lotz will be featured in the planned superhero team spinoff of The Flash and Arrow.

Lotz’s fan-favorite character, Sara Lance (aka Canary), was killed off during Season 3 of Arrow, which became a major plot point.

With the announcement that Lotz will now be featured on the new superhero team that is set in the same universe in which she was seemingly killed off, speculation is running wild.

The original report made mention that Lotz may either somehow return as Canary or even play a new superhero all-together.

As fans of Arrow (and Batman) know, the Lazarus Pit can heal the sick and ressurect the dead; so there would be an out for Canary.

While it’s also possible Canary may have faked her yet death again, Lotz recently attended Wizard World Chicago and was asked about the spinoff.

“That’s a good question,” Lotz responded when asked if her character would even be seen again. “So, yeah. Sara Lance definintely died in episode 1 of Season 3.

“Has anybody heard about the spinoff?” Lotz asked the audience. “So there is a new show in development, and I am so excited to finally be able to talk about this. The Atom, Firestorm, my character, and so I guess that is a big thing that is going on. Everyone keeps asking me on the internet; they’re like, ‘Well, you’re dead. How are you going to be on the new show? Is it just going to be flashbacks or are you playing a whole new character? Are you Sara Lance?’

“I would love to tell you” Lotz offered. “But I think they might kill me. How many times have I died already? Sara Lance has died, I think three times. So you never know.”

Lotz does note “my character” which may have been a slip, or she’s just possibly referring to herself.

Lotz also confirms Firestorm, which would mean Robbie Amell is a part of the spinoff (previous details just made mention of Victor Garber playing Dr. Stein).

Brandon Routh is confirmed as Atom, and Wentworth Miller will be playing Captain Cold, in addition to three new DC heroes being a part of the team.

The untitled superhero team series looks to debut next Fall or possibly next mid-season.

Check out more with Caity Lotz from Wizard World Chicago in the following video.

Arrow/Flash Spinoff Casting Call Reveals 3 New DC Heroes

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19556:]]

A spinoff from Arrow and The Flash is currently in development, which will see a team of superheroes formed from new and existing characters.

Brandon Routh is set to play Atom; Victor Garber will play Dr. Stein; Wentworth Miller will play Captain Cold, and Kaity Lotz will also have a role (whether it’s her Arrow Canary role is unknown).

It’s also been said the Arrow/Flash superhero team spinoff will feature three DC Comics heroes who have never been on TV before, and now TV Line may have a description of the characters.

“THE TRAVELER” | Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.

“FEMALE WARRIOR” | This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.

“MYSTERY HERO” | An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.

As noted, “The Traveler” could possibly be Booster Gold or Rip Hunter.

“Female Warrior” may be reference to the female Wildcat (or maybe even an Amazon).

The “Mystery Hero” could be Static or Black Lightning.

The Arrow/Flash spinoff has also been said to be adding other characters from the shows (probably Robbie Amell, the other half of Firestorm).

Arrow creators, Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, are putting the series together, which is expected to debut next season/mid-season.

Arrow / The Flash Superhero Team-Up Spinoff Being Developed

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19394:]]

It’s learned the CW is currently developing a superhero team spinoff series featuring fan-favorite characters from both Arrow and The Flash.

In addition, Deadline states the new spinoff will feature three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series.

Set to star in the superhero team spinoff are: Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer (Atom); Victor Garber (Dr. Stein); Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold).

It’s also said that Caity Lotz will star in the series, though it’s unclear how she will fit in as her character died in Arrow. It’s suggested they could somehow bring back Canary or that Lotz could play a new superhero.

The report makes no mention of Robbie Amell, who is the other half to Stein’s Firestorm, but it is stated the project is in early development and additional cast members most likely will be added.

The Arrow/The Flash team spinoff is being put together by Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, with the series eyed to debut next season/mid-season.

There is no title for the new series as of yet.
