Following on the heels of the first episode premiere at the NYCC, it’s now learned Starz has launched a viral site for Ash Vs. Evil Dead with “Ash For President.”
A Twitter account was established following last month’s Republican debate, and a Tumblr account and web site have also been launched touting to vote for Bruce Campbell‘s character, Ash, from Ash Vs. Evil Dead.
“What we saw last night was horsesh-t and it’s become clear to us just what America needs: #Ash4President. Join us!” the first tweet reads.
“This debate has more issues than our middle school years,” stated the most recent tweets posted. “Can’t we just challenge Putin to a shirtless arm wrestling contest? On a horse?”
The Ash4President web site also features an “Ash-Roots” movement with promo posters, polls and campaign gear that is unfortunatley said to be: “fresh out bummer.”
Chances are you, or someone you know, has suffered at the hands of a filthy, stinking Deadite. The question is, what does your chosen presidential candidate plan to do about it? If they aren’t on the frontlines with a chainsaw for a hand then they ain’t shit. Ashley James “Ash” Williams solemnly swears to kick ass, take names (numbers too if it’s a hot lady) and smile while doing it. You’re welcome.
“Ash Vs. Evil Dead” premiers October 31st at 9pm ET on Starz.

Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
Following a first look at Bruce Campell as Ash for the Starz Ash Vs. Evil Dead TV series, two more images have been released including Ash with his iconic chainsaw and shotgun.
“Sam’s original Delta is back,” says Campbell. “I’m talking the ‘73 Delta 88. The Classic is back! I’ve driven it. I did a William Shatner power-slide in that car. That’s the only spoiler I’m gonna give you: that Ash and that car — we can power-slide. I met William Shatner on the convention circuit, and I talked aboutT.J. Hooker. He talked to me about how he power-slides those cars in T.J. Hooker. So I took Shatner’s advice, and I used that advice to do a T.J. Hookercombo-platter — with the Classic — power-slide.”
“There’s going to be a lot of the classic, over-the-top, in-your-face fullness, with a pretty trash-talking Ash,” says the star. “In a TV series, people gotta talk, so Ash will have more dialogue than he’s pretty much ever had. There’s a pretty high count of Ash’s classic one-liners. They’re back, and they’re strong, and they’re flourishing!”
Ash Vs Evil Dead premiers with ten episodes in the Fall also starring Ray Santiago and Dana Delorenzo, and the show will be featured Friday, July 10th at Comic-Con.

Check out a first look above at Bruce Campbell as Ash from the upcoming Starz Ash Vs. Evil Dead TV series.
EW.com debuted the image asking Campbell and Sam Raimi what Ash has been up to since the 22 years we last seen him.
“Not much!” Campbell offered. “He was perfectly happy doing basically nothing: telling lies about how he lost his hand in bars late at night. That was basically his MO. So, he’s not really the guy who should be dealing with this right now. But…he is. He’s our guy!”
“He’s the only one stupid enough to really tamper with those spirits,” Sam Raimi added, who returned to direct the first episode of the new series. “And he does. But he’s also still a really good monster fighter. So, he’s also going to be kicking some deadite buttocks, if you’ll pardon the French.”
“It’s The Searchers with carnage and mayhem,” Campbell said. “I’m relegated a little bit into the John Wayne mode these days with my team—the young, virile, evil fighters who will pair up with Ash and take on this nemesis: this never ending, ever evolving nemesis.”
