Mark Ruffalo Responds To Jason Statham’s Marvel Remarks

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20931:]]

Mark Ruffalo smash Jason Statham?

Well, the madder the Hulk gets the stronger the Hulk gets, so maybe Statham better watch out.

Following the rumor that Jason Statham was up to play Bullseye in Marvel’s Daredevil Netflix series, the actor stated he felt Marvel movies aren’t authentic and that his grandma could do the stunts.

Now Mark Ruffalo has words for Statham as Vulture caught up with the Incredbile Hulk actor.

“I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It’s Jason Statham,” Ruffalo joked. “He’s like a featherweight. He’s got nothing on me! Clearly.”

Ruffalo better be careful though, as Banner definitely doesn’t get any stronger the madder he gets; plus Statham has trained in real life martial arts.

Maybe we’ll see it on the big screen some day?

Steven Ogg Wants To Play Bullseye For Daredevil

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20908:]]

With Jason Statham not too interested in portraying a Marvel character, Steven Ogg steps up to the plate and offers to play Bullseye for the Marvel Daredevil Netflix series.

Steven Ogg took to Twitter to respond to the Jason Statham rumors with: “Well Jason Statham ain’t doing it! Anyone line that up for me?”

Ogg is probably best known for portraying Trevor Phillips in the Grand Theft Auto video games, is also known for roles on Better Call Saul, Moondog Airwaves, and has Westworld and The Book of Ned coming up.

While Ogg may be looked at as an unknown, except for probably Vincent D’Onofrio and Rosario Dawson, the rest of the DD cast is not too well known as well.

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in development and will premiere on Netflix in 2016.

Jason Statham Rumored For Bullseye In Daredevil Season 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20881:]]

Update: Marvel TV is stating there is no truth to the rumor of Jason Statham.

Update #2: Jason Statham has no ambition for comic book movies and says Marvel isn’t authentic.

It’s rumored that Jason Statham is being eyed by Marvel to play Bullseye in Season 2 of the Daredevil Netflix series.

According to Latino Review, Statham has even took a meeting with Marvel, and at one time, Statham was in talks for a DD movie reboot over at Fox.

The same report also mentions potential villains for Daredevil Season 2 with Mr. Fear, Elektra (seemingly already confirmed) – and get this – Spider-Man villain Mysterio.

It would be rather interesting to have Statham featured on the Netflix series as he is a pretty big-named action star. The quesion is: Is Statham too big?

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in devlopment and will be released in 2016.

Bendis Rocket Raccoon Troubles; Writing “Over The Hedge” Cartoon Version

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5410:]]Plus one for Brian Michael Bendis?

During a comic book retailer conference call, Bendis was asked for specifics regarding the upcoming James Gunn directed Guardian of the Galaxy movie.

Bendis is part of Marvel’s movie consultant squad as well as the new writer on the upcoming comic book.

Of course, he couldn’t mention anything from the movie, but did offer that Jason Statham would make a good Rocket Raccoon, which many fans have been stating for quite a while.

Bendis went on to describe how he was having trouble writing Rocket Raccoon (surprise!) for the new Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, and the reason was because he kept writing Rocket as if he was the animated Bruce Willis raccoon from Over The Hedge.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5411:]]”I realised I was writing the wrong Raccoon,” Bendis said, reports Bleeding Cool.

And we are guessing he never read DnA’s Guardians of the Galaxy, played the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 video game, or watched the DnA penned episode of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes either.

Still, Bendis goes on to comment about the Adam Sandler rumor (gets that part wrong), but mentions Jason Statham would make a good Rocket Raccoon.

“Adam Sandler would be good, but Jason Statham would be good also,” it’s reported he said.

So that’s plus one and minus two.

One step forward two steps back.

Sounds about right.

Bendis also wouldn’t comment on Iron Man being in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but offers why and how it could work.

“Tony standing back and wondering what the Earth needs from him… what he can do for the Earth, for the galaxy… and then taking that back into his next Avengers adventure is a good story worth telling with Tony Stark.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release date and is directed by James Gunn.
