Frank Grillo Reveals Potential Captain America: Civil War Spoiler

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23736:]]

The Wizard World New Orleans comic-con featured a Captain America: Civil War panel with Frank Grillo being a member.

During the audience Q&A, the panel was asked if there was a scene they wanted to film, but haven’t been able to yet.

Frank Grillo responded by stating, “I would like to kill Captain America.”

This is potentially a spoiler as if Grillo didn’t film the scene, we then know Crossbones doesn’t kill Captain America in Civil War.

Anthony and Joe Russo were quick to follow up Grillo’s comments with:

“We may or may not have filmed that scene, though,” Joe Russo stated.

Anthony Russo added, “She said a scene that you haven’t done.”

Earlier in the panel also saw Frank Grillo talk his relationship with Captain America and state he thinks the Crossbones costume is the best.

“In the first film, I was friends with him [Captain America],” Grillo offered. “You know, there was this moral problem I was having, but not in the second one [smiles]. I have a clear cut mission.

“I got to tell you, when I saw the costume, when it was done, to me – I know you guys all have these fancy costumes and stuff – I think Crossbones has the baddest costume of everybody,” Grillo said.

Grillo also told the audience the characteristic from Crossbones that he would want in everyday life.

“I would be homicidal,” Grillo joked, to the delight of the crowd, which erupted in laughter.

Update: Grillo also offers up what Marvel character he would like to interact with that he hasn’t, which offers another potential Civil War spoiler.

“Spider-Man. I love Spider-Man,” Grillo said.

Joe Russo then questioned, “You haven’t interacted with Spider-Man,” to which Grillo joked, “I have interacted with Spider-Man. It’s none of your business.” The Russo brothers and everyone can then be seen laughing.

Frank Grillo Confirms Crossbones In Captain America 3 Civil War

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:17983:]]

Frank Grillo quickly became a fan-favorite following his debut as Brock Rumlow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Now it’s learned that Frank Grillo will be back for Captain America: Civil War, and judging from his conversation with EW, Grillo will be suited up as Crossbones.

“[Winter Soldier] was only a taste of what’s to come with the next film, and I couldn’t be more humbled and excited. They just kind of called and said, ‘What kind of shape are you in? We’re going to need a body scan.’ They scan your body so that whatever you wear fits you like a glove.”

Grillo also talked about the character of Crossbones.

“He’s a badass. He is just vicious. I like the idea that it’s no holds barred. I love the physicality. We all know what Crossbones represents in his world.”

Captain America: Civil War also stars Robert Downey Jr. and introduces Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, with Grillo excited about the possibilities.

“I hear Iron Man is in Captain America 3—he’s got a big role—and the Black Panther. It sounds like this Civil War is going to be pretty interesting.”

Captain America: Civil War has a May 6, 2016 release.

On a side note, Grillo has been getting comparisons to The Punisher for his role in The Purge: Anarchy, which you may want to check out.

[page_title]

Frank Grillo Wants To Play The Punisher

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:16367:]]

Frank Grillo, who was featured in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and can bee seen in this week’s new premeire of The Purge: Anarchy, has stated he is interetested in playing another Marvel Comics character.

It’s the Punisher.

Slight spoiler for The Purge: Anarchy: Apparently, Grillo’s character in the movie is being compared to The Punisher as IGN saw an advanced screening and couldn’t help but think Grillo resembled Frank Castle, and it’s something Grillo, a practitioner of jujitsu, boxing and wrestling, hears all the time.

IGN: Did DeMonaco ever mention to you how much your character and the look of your character was something like The Punisher?

Grillo: He didn’t, but I hear it every day.

IGN: I’m watching it and thinking, “He should have been The Punisher!”

Grillo: I hear it three dozen times a day.

At a press junket for The Purge: Anarchy, Grillo also offered the following:

“I’ve been bombarded with people asking me about the Punisher. It’s amazing. The interesting thing is my friend Chris Evans started out as the Human Torch, and then he became Captain America. So I’m going to have to follow up on this.”

Regarding following up on The Punisher, it might be a stretch as Grillo continues with mention that we might see Crossbones soon.

“I’m signed onto a multi-contract deal with Marvel. Without me saying anything, because they will kill me … we’re hoping, yeah. It looks soon.”
