Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Premiere Set for July 17

Following rumors of reshoots due to the Trump administration, Paramount+ has confirmed that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns for its third season on Thursday, July 17, with a two-episode premiere.

New episodes will follow weekly, wrapping with the finale on September 11. The show will stream in the U.S. and other regions where Paramount+ is available.

What to Expect in Season Three

Season three picks up after the season two cliffhanger involving the Gorn. Captain Pike and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise continue exploring new civilizations, while confronting a new villain that puts their loyalty and strength to the test. This season mixes action with moments of romance, mystery, and even comedy — pushing Star Trek into fresh genre territory.

Here is the official description:

In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our characters’ grit and resolve. An exciting twist on classic Star Trek, season three takes characters both new and beloved to new heights, and dives into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.
