Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog which unleashes Keanu Reeves as Shadow.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 gets released in theaters on December 20 directed by Jeff Fowler.
Also starring in the movie includes Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Tom Butler as Commander Walters, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Alyla Browne as Maria, with Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone, Krysten Ritter as Captain Rockwell, and Shemar Moore as Randall Handel.
Sonic teams up once again with his friends Knuckles (Idris Elba) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) to face a formidable new foe: Shadow, a mysterious villain whose powers surpass anything they’ve encountered before. With their skills falling short, Team Sonic must forge an unlikely alliance in a desperate bid to stop Shadow and save the planet.
In the games, Shadow is an immortal, black-furred, anthropomorphic hedgehog created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather of Doctor Eggman, also known as Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey).
Shadow the Hedgehog isn’t considered evil; instead, he’s more of an anti-hero—a stark contrast to Sonic, often referred to as “the anti-Sonic.” Shadow’s willingness to do whatever it takes frequently puts him at odds with Sonic, making him Sonic’s most formidable rival. While Sonic is playful and light-hearted, Shadow is far more serious and intense. Similar to Sonic, Shadow possesses extraordinary speed, but also has Chaos Control, a power that allows him to manipulate space and time.
