Robert Pattinson is reteaming with Christopher Nolan and joins what is shaping up to be an all-star cast.
The cast also includes Matt Damon who starred in Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Interstellar, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, Holland’s fellow Spidey actor and girlfriend, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway who starred in Nolan’s Batman movies, and Lupita Nyong’o.
Pattinson starred in Nolan’s sci-fi Tenet movie that was released back in 2020.
Per the norm with Christopher Nolan films, the details are being kept under a tight lock and key.
While rumors have offered the new Nolan movie could be some sort of vampire period piece, THR says that’s not true.
The site also says that rumors the flick is a helicopter action thriller are not true. THR even says insiders offer nothing released online comes close to what Nolan’s new movie is really about.
The new Christopher Nolan movie will be at Universal Pictures and has a July 17, 2026 release date and will be released in IMAX.
Oppenheimer, which made nearly a billion dollars and won Oscars, was also at Universal.
Nolan was previously with Warner Bros. but reportedly departed ways with WB over WB releasing movies day-and-date in theaters and on the HBO Max streaming service back in 2020 and 2021 which included Wonder Woman 1984, Godzilla vs Kong, and more. Reportedly, the streaming releases of the movies did nothing to bolster the number of HBO Max subscriptions. “HBO Max” has subsequently been dropped in favor of “Max.”
Robert Pattinson will also be starring in The Batman: Part II which is due to start production next year for its October 2, 2026 release date. Update: It’s being reported nothing is close to being planned regarding filming.
