After months of speculation, a new gameplay and story trailer for Resident Evil Requiem confirms Leon S. Kennedy is playable.
Leon joins Grace Ashcroft, and the trailer shows him in action—fighting through brutal encounters, wielding a chainsaw, and dishing out payback.
Watch below.
Dual Protagonists, Two Gameplay Styles
Resident Evil Requiem splits its experience between two distinct playstyles. Leon delivers fast-paced, high-risk action, while Grace’s sections lean hard into classic survival horror.
Capcom says the contrast is designed to heighten tension and keep players off balance as they switch between adrenaline-driven combat and nerve-racking exploration.

New Announcements and Crossovers
Capcom also confirmed several additions tied to the reveal. Resident Evil and Porsche are teaming up to debut a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in-game as Leon’s vehicle. The Deluxe Edition has expanded to include three Leon costumes—Resident Evil 4, Apocalypse, and Film Noir—along with a DSO emblem weapon charm.
Pre-orders are now live and include Grace’s “Apocalypse” costume as a bonus. Nintendo Switch 2 players will also see Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition launch the same day, bundled with Requiem in the Resident Evil Generation Pack.

What’s Coming Next
Capcom announced a dedicated Resident Evil Showcase set for early 2026, promising a deeper look at gameplay. Other tie-ins include Fortnite collaboration items for Epic Games Store purchasers, a themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo featuring Grace (arriving summer 2026), and a Premium Steelbook Edition with exclusive collectible
