Marvel’s Avengers still playable after delisting

The developer behind the game will no longer be updating Marvel’s Avengers, but has made it clear the game will still be playable and remain in players’ libraries after it gets delisted at the end of the month.

“Thank you to all our players for joining us on these adventures and letting us tell our stories with Kamala, Bruce, Tony, Steve, Nat, Thor, Clint, Kate, T’Challa, Pete, Jane, and Bucky,” Crystal Dynamics said in a statement. “For anyone who hasn’t joined us yet, we hope you jump on this final chance to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes alongside your friends. Remember: good isn’t a thing you are; it’s a thing you do.”

Marvel’s Avengers video game huge fail from the start

The Marvel’s Avengers video game never had a chance as right from the get-go with the release of the first-look art fans voted with their dollars and chose to avoid the game in droves.

Coupled with lack of quality game content, numerous bugs, questionable graphics and art, delays, and the awful storyline that sees the Avengers fail and Captain America killed off (who wants that?), and having Ms. Marvel laughably reassembling The Avengers was a sure nail in the coffin.

The game has performed so horribly for Crystal Dynamics that the company reported a $50 million loss back in 2020.

It was also reported following the launch that the number of users on Steam dropped a whopping 87.5% from a high of only around 16k players to 2k-ish or so.

Ms. Marvel fails every time

In related news, the Ms. Marvel series on Disney+ is the least-watched MCU show on the streaming service, described as embarrassing and shocking.

Disney also attempted to bolster the release of The Marvels starring Iman Vellani by releasing the Ms. Marvel episodes on Disney+ which completely backfired and bombed.

Marvel Comics also recently killed off the character in order to create false publicity, only to bring the character back in an umpteenth relaunch no one reads or wants.

About Marvel’s Avengers

Assemble your team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, embrace your powers, and live your Super Hero dreams.

Marvel’s Avengers is an epic, third-person, action-adventure game that combines an original, cinematic story with single-player and co-operative gameplay*. Assemble into a team of up to four players online, master extraordinary abilities, customize an expansive roster of Heroes, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a new, hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco. The celebration turns deadly when a mysterious enemy causes a catastrophic accident which results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, a sprawling adventure ignites when a determined young woman named Kamala Khan sets out to reassemble and rebuild the Avengers to stop the unchecked power of the secretive new force known as AIM.

Marvel’s Avengers delivers the definitive Avengers gaming experience with an adventure that sends out heroes from space, to the hidden kingdom of Wakanda, or an apocalyptic alternative future.
