Michael Rosenbaum Would Do Lex Luthor In Batman Vs. Superman “In An FN Heart Beat”

With no official word as of yet regarding who is playing Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Batman Vs. Superman, Smallville‘s Michael Rosenbaum offers his two cents yet again.

Previously, Rosenbaum campaigned for Lex Luthor in Batman Vs. Superman with the help of Stan Lee, and now the fan-favorite actor is back at it.

This time, however, Rosenbaum admittely states his having portrayed Lex Luthor on Smallville might be a handicap, but offers he would still love to do it.

Via MediaMike.com:

I’d love to do it. But I think Joaquin Phoenix is probably gonna do it or somebody. I’m a big Zack Snyder fan. Obviously, I think I could play the role. I would do it in a heartbeat, but I don’t hold my breath because I know there’s the stigma, “He was the TV Smallville Lex Luthor.” I say that sarcastically, but I think it’s a shame. If people like the role and what I did with it, then they should consider it. But I’m not the director. I’m not the producer. Long story short, I’d do it in a f-cking heartbeat.

As Rosenbaum notes, Joaquin Phoenix has been said to be up for the role, with Mark Strong and Bryan Cranston added to the mix of contenders.

Would Michael Rosenbaum be able to pull of Luthor twice?

“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 release also starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
