Things continue to look really bad for Marvel’s Avengers as now it is learned an apparent reference to the video game has been removed from the remastered version of the Spider-Man video game.

The original PS4 Spider-Man video game sees Spidey make mention that the Avengers aren’t around and that they are on the West Coast, as Marvel’s Avengers video game kicks off with the Avengers in San Francisco.

Spidey says: “Avengers Tower, so cool! Too bad they’re never around to use it. They’re on the west coast or something. Probably surfing.”

Now with the release of the remastered Spider-Man PS4 game that comes with the PS5 Miles Morales game, the reference has been cut, as pointed out by Greg Miller on Twitter who got an early copy.

“Interesting. Spider-Man 2018 originally referenced the Avengers being on the West Coast in this scene. This year, the Avengers game saw the team based in San Francisco. Spider-Man Remastered on PS5 no longer makes the West Coast reference,” tweeted Miller.

Marvel’s Avengers sounds like a huge disaster

It is known a version of Spider-Man is coming to Marvel’s Avengers video game, which seems to be a different version than the Spider-Man PS4 game, and that may be the reason for the omission in the remastered version.

“Totally. Now that *a* Spider-Man is coming to Avengers they don’t want people thinking it’s *this* Spider-Man,” tweeted Miller.

It could be possible at one time the two games were going to connect and share the PS4 Spider-Man, but now that apparently isn’t happening. Maybe it’s because Marvel’s Avengers is so bad?

Regarding Marvel’s Avengers continuing to look bad, recently saw the news that the company that created the game, Crystal Dynamics, suffered a $50 million loss due to its latest release of video games, which includes Marvel’s Avengers, selling nowhere near as expected.

It’s also been learned that Marvel’s Avengers is delayed on PS5 and that fans are leaving the game in droves.

The game also features the Avengers failing, Captain America getting killed off at the start of the game, and an SJW character no one likes as the focus of the game and responsible for reforming the Avengers — Ms. Marvel, a character that also can’t sell comic books.
