Marion Cotillard as Talia al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises?

Le Figaro, France’s second largerst newspaper, is reporting that Marion Cotillard will be in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Cotillard, currently pregnant, is due in May and with filming on the movie set to be completed in November, she should be available by the summer.

Batman-News.com got ahold of a translation:

Marion Cotillard in “Batman 3″. The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She’ll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3. This blockbuster produced by Warner Bros.. enables her to work with the director Christopher Nolan, with whom she had turned very successful sci-fi Inception. Marion Cotillard will join the filming this summer in Los Angeles. She will share the bill with Anne Hathaway.

From previous reports, we have heard that Talia al Ghul – daughter to Ra’s al Ghul (Liam Neeson) – is supposed to play a part in The Dark Knight Rises. Marion Cotillard teamed with Director Chrisopher Nolan for Inception, will she take on the role of Talia al Ghul? Seems likely.

Updated 2/14/11 9:03am Eastern: According to People, Marion Cotillard signed on Saturday in Paris and will “start shooting at London’s Elstree Studios in mid-June, then move on to locations in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles this summer.”

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christan Bale as Batman.
