A new early tracking chart shared viaPuck News and based on data from The Quorum suggests The Mandalorian & Grogu is holding steady, but not doing much more than that.
The upcoming Star Wars movie posted a 46 awareness score and a 46 interest score. Those are respectable numbers, but both are down from the prior two weeks, with awareness slipping by 1 point and interest falling by 2.
That stands out because this chart comes after Disney and Lucasfilm’s big CinemaCon presentation.
Mandalorian Isn’t Breaking Out
The Mandalorian & Grogu is still one of the stronger titles on the board, but it is not showing the kind of momentum Disney likely wants to see from the return of Star Wars to theaters.
Instead of climbing, the numbers softened.
That suggests the buzz out of CinemaCon did little to boost general audience awareness. The event may have generated headlines within the industry, but there is not much here showing it reached mainstream moviegoers.
Still Behind Mortal Kombat II
The chart also shows The Mandalorian & Grogu trailing Mortal Kombat II, which came in at 48 awareness and 48 interest.
That is a notable comparison. Star Wars remains one of the biggest brands in entertainment, yet this title is sitting slightly behind a Mortal Kombat sequel in both categories.
That does not mean Mandalorian is in trouble, but it does suggest the current marketing has not created much urgency.
What The Numbers Say
The Mandalorian & Grogu looks stable, not explosive.
People know about it. People are interested. But nothing in the latest chart points to a major surge. That could come closer to the film’s release date later next month.
For Disney, the concern is not the raw numbers by themselves. It is that awareness that should usually be building closer to release – not dropping – especially after a big industry showcase like CinemaCon.
Instead, the movie appears stuck in place.
