‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ To Be Last Chapter (Rumor)

A rumor offers The Mandalorian & Grogu movie will wrap up Mando’s arc in the Disney Star Wars universe.

According to scooper Daniel RPK, the flick will be the last, with no additional movies or new seasons of The Mandalorian.

Reportedly, The Mandalorian Season 4 has become The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, so according to the rumor, the film will not lead into any new projects.

However, it is said there are still plans for Mando to appear in the Star Wars universe, just not in his own movies or shows.

What does the rumor say?

According to scooper Daniel RPK, via the Star Wars Holocron fan X account, “The Mandalorian & Grogu will reportedly be the last chapter of the series/show, with no future movies or seasons planned Din Djarin is said to apear in future Star Wars projects after the conclusion of his own show.”

Daniel RPK has also said the Taika Waititi Star Wars movie is on indefinite hold.

The Mandalorian & Grogu gets released on May 22, 2026 directed by Jon Favreau which will star Pedro Pascal in the titular role. Sigourney Weaver has also joined the cast.

“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” said Favreau at the time of the film’s announcement back in January of 2024. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”

“Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have ushered into Star Wars two new and beloved characters, and this new story is a perfect fit for the big screen,” added Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm.
