Lou Ferrigno Jr. Cast As Hourman

The Incredible Hulk’s son has been cast as the DC Universe app’s Hourman, asĀ Lou Ferrigno Jr. joins the Stargirl series.

Lou Ferrigno Jr. is playing the Golden Age Hourman with Rex Tyler, described as a master chemist and adrenaline junkie who as Hourman is a thrill-seeking superhero with the ability to manifest super-strength… for one hour a day. A founding member of the Justice Society of America, Rex/Hourman struggles with balancing his life as a hero and father.Ā

Lou Ferrigno Jr., known for SWAT, joins the recent casting additions including Joel McHale as StarmanĀ andĀ Brec Bassinger as the titular character Courtney Whitmore.

The series itself follows Courtney (Bassinger) as she inspires that unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past, and aims to reimagine Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in what promises to be an unpredictable series.Ā StargirlĀ focuses on the character that started executive producer Geoff Johns’ career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, and was lovingly inspired by his late sister, who was killed in a 1996 plane explosion.
