Kathryn Newton Confirms Avengers: Doomsday Return As Cassie Lang

Kathryn Newton is heading back to the MCU.

Fresh off Marvel’s CinemaCon presentation for Avengers: Doomsday revealing the new footage, Newton revealed on Instagram that she is returning as Cassie Lang, confirming another addition to the growing cast.

The post included a mini director’s chair with her name on it, a clear nod to Cassie’s role and her Ant-Man connection.

Marvel just came out of CinemaCon with a big Avengers: Doomsday push that included new footage and major reveals tied to Doctor Doom, Steve Rogers, Thor, and more.

Newton’s post now adds Cassie Lang to the mix and suggests Marvel may not be done announcing names yet.

Kathryn Newton Joins The Expanding Doomsday Cast

Newton previously took over the role of Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where the character stepped further into the superhero spotlight and embraced the Stature identity.

Marvel had already announced 27 actors for Avengers: Doomsday, so Newton’s reveal appears to push the roster even further. With the studio now in full promotional mode, more names and characters could soon follow. The possibility of more announcements is not official, but it fits with how Marvel is rolling this movie out.

Paul Rudd was also previously announced.
