Jonathan Majors Makes Movie Comeback With Untitled Daily Wire Action Film

Jonathan Majors is back on a movie set, and it’s coming via The Daily Wire.

Deadline reports Majors is filming an untitled action movie this week in South Carolina, marking his first film shoot in four years.

Jonathan Majors’ Daily Wire movie details

Kyle Rankin is directing from his own screenplay. The title, plot specifics, and additional cast are being kept quiet, but Deadline says the story is in the vein of ’80s and ’90s action movies like Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, centered on teenage boys banding together against invading enemies.

Ben Shapiro is producing for The Daily Wire, alongside Dallas Sonnier for Bonfire Legend. Travis Mills, Lillian Campbell, and Sydney Aucreman are also producing.

Majors is also listed as an executive producer via Tall Street Productions, with Caleb Robinson and Mike Richards executive producing for The Daily Wire as well.

Crew and creative team

Deadline also lists key crew on the project: Kristopher Kimlin as cinematographer, David Guglielmo handling casting, Vincent Reynaud as production designer, and Emma Fleming as costume designer.

Why this is being called a “comeback”

This is Majors’ first movie shoot since his 2023 controversy involving his former girlfriend.

He starred as the Marvel villain, Kang the Conqueror, in Loki Season 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and was set to headline Avengers 5. However, reportedly due to the big failure of Quantumania, plans for “The Kang Dynasty” were scrapped, and Marvel brought back Robert Downey Jr. for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Majors is also known for the Creed III and Magazine Dreams movies.

What’s next for Majors

Majors is also attached to star in Merciless, described as a supernatural revenge thriller from director Martin Villeneuve.
