Jamie Lee Curtis reprises asĀ Laurie Strode, the older sister to Michael Myers, who first appeared in the John Carpenter original HalloweenĀ back in 1978.Ā
The new Halloween has an October 19, 2018 release date and sees Laurie Strode having a final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has hauntedĀ herĀ since she narrowly escaped his killing spree onĀ Halloween night four decades ago.
John Carpenter is serving as executive producer and creative consultant, with Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Split)Ā also as executive producer.
David Gordon Green wrote the new Halloween script with Danny McBride.
