DCU Projects Stalling Because Of James Gunn’s ‘Interference’ (Exclusive)

Following up on my Zack Snyder info, as I said, I asked my insiders about the state of the DCU.

Fans aren’t happy with James Gunn’s goofy storytelling, coupled with his politics that he has been injecting into content.

I’m told the reason a various DCU projects haven’t happened isn’t because – per Gunn that the scripts aren’t good enough – I’m told it’s because the filmmakers want their own vision and not James Gunn’s interference.

I’m also told Gunn is out when WBD sells.

James Mangold Confirms Swamp Thing

I was specifically pointed to James Mangold’s Swamp Thing. What recently went down? Mangold signed that huge contract with David Ellison and Skydance Paramount. Mangold’s Swamp thing is now in doubt along with his Star Wars movie, though reports have offered they’re still happening (probably spin).

What I was told is notice how Gunn has “quietly” moved from his planned “Gods and Monsters” to what he now calls the “Superman Family.” The Superman Family is all Gunn.

So that’s what is going on, the reason things are taking so long to develop in the DCU is because the various filmmakers want their own vision on the projects and not Gunn’s. That’s what is causing the stall.

I’ll also add in that with Warner Bros. Discovery getting sold, Gunn’s DCU projects are likely limited, so that’s another reason he is doing his own stuff, to get it out as quickly as possible before the sale.

What’s that say? More to come…
