IT: Welcome To Derry fans get a treat this Halloween.
Early Release Details
Episode two of the horror prequel hits HBO Max early, dropping Friday, October 31 at 12:00am PT / 3:00am ET.
HBO will also air the episode on Sunday, November 2 at 9:00pm ET/PT.
The eight-episode season continues Sundays on HBO and HBO Max through the finale on December 14. The weekly broadcast slot remains Sunday nights on HBO.
Strong Premiere Numbers On HBO & HBO Max
IT: Welcome To Derry is also off to a strong start on HBO Max.
The first episode scored 5.7 million U.S. viewers in its first three days across HBO and HBO Max. Warner Bros. Discovery reports the prequel ranks among the top three series debuts in HBO Max history, trailing only House of the Dragon and The Last of Us. The series launched October 26 and momentum picked up heading into Halloween weekend.
Series Background
IT: Welcome To Derry builds on Stephen King’s novel and expands the film universe from IT and IT Chapter Two. Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs developed the series for television, with Andy Muschietti directing multiple episodes. The series continues the tone and mythology of the films, bringing Pennywise’s legacy back to screens.
