He-Man and Teela Spotted on Earth in ‘Masters of the Universe’ Leaks

More leaks from the set of the Masters of the Universe movie hit the net, and now they show off a first look at Camila Mendes in costume as Teela. We also get a new look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man with the Power Sword.

What do the leaks show?

The leaks actually show images and video of Nicholas Galitzine as Adam/He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela filming Earth scenes on the streets of London.

Yep, parts of the movie are set on Earth, as revealed by a previous plot description:

10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!

I’ll say, Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes actually don’t look too bad as their respective characters.

I’ll admit, though, I’m not big on the idea of the Masters of the Universe movie being set on Earth, which IMO, screams they have no budget.

It’s obviously a lot cheaper to film scenes on Earth instead of having to film everything on Eternia. So, then, of course, they come up with a story to support the earth-based setting. Apparently, Galitzine’s Adam gets busted by the cops for having the power sword.

That said, previously leaks have teased Eternia and even the evil forces of Jared Leto’s Skeletor. Leaks also tease a connection to She-Ra. I suppose it can’t be any worse than what Kevin Smith did with the Netflix series, right?
