Nicholas Galitzine already has his next project lined up, and it’s a long way from Eternia.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Masters of the Universe star will play male supermodel Hoyt Richards in a new feature film, with two-time Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) in talks to direct.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, and Van Sant is not yet officially attached, but the pairing alone makes this one to watch.

Who Is Hoyt Richards?
The subject is what makes this project fascinating. Richards was, for a time, the highest-paid male supermodel in the world.
He rose to fame in the late 1980s alongside contemporaries like Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, fronting campaigns for Versace, Valentino, and Ralph Lauren, and shot by legendary photographers including Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber.
But the real story is the double life.
According to THR, and as chronicled in the new HBO docuseries Bring Me the Beauties, Richards spent years inside a cult led by Frederich von Mierers, a man who helped launch Richards’ modeling career while also claiming to be an alien consciousness in human form.
Richards is reported to have given millions of dollars to the group, called Eternal Values, all while living a parallel life as a globe-trotting fashion icon.
It’s a genuinely wild true story, and exactly the kind of material a director like Van Sant tends to be drawn to.

Galitzine Lands On His Feet
The timing is notable. The casting comes just as Masters of the Universe stumbles at the box office, and it’s a clear sign the industry isn’t pinning that result on its leading man.
Throughout our coverage of why the He-Man reboot failed, Galitzine was never the problem, the issues were the strategy, the marketing, and the audience that never showed.
Hollywood appears to agree. He’s also currently in theaters in Sheep Detectives, with the Red, White and Royal Blue sequel Red, White & Royal Wedding and Pete Berg’s WWII drama The Mosquito Bowl (for Netflix) still to come.
In other words, He-Man may have bombed, but its star is busier than ever. We’ll keep you posted as the Hoyt Richards project firms up.
