Following the news of the Green Lantern Corps movie, now Geoff Johns has apparently chimed in on Twitter.

“In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night
” Johns tweeted.

The report from earlier today mentioned the story for the Green Lantern Corps movie is from Geoff Johns and David S. Goyer.

Geoff Johns is also serving as executive producer on Green Lantern Corps.

A release date for Green Lantern Corps, casting and a director are yet to be announced.

The Green Lantern Corps movie is described as: Lethal Weapon in space, and it’s based on a comic book origin story. The focus will be on two characters: Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The latter is an African American Marine sniper before he joined the Lantern Corps and the story very much focuses on his relationship with Jordan and the Corps.

For ther record, here is the Green Lantern oath:

In brightest day, in blackest night,

No evil shall escape my sight.

Let those who worship evil’s might

Beware my power! Green Lantern’s light!
