With the news that the Justice League movie is to begin filming next year with a 2015 release, our DC Entertainment source has contacted us about a few more details.
The source says that filming on the Justice League movie will begin September 2013.
The source also said that Man of Steel director Zack Snyder was up to direct the Justice League movie, but now Snyder apparently only wants to be on the film in some sort of different capacity, possibly a “consultant.”
Regarding the director for the Justice League movie, the source only offered that names are being thrown around everyday “new and old.”
The source goes on to state that David Yates was talking about doing the Justice League movie, but as we’ve previously heard, that doesn’t look to be the case, with Affleck not directing and now Zack Snyder ruling himself out as well.
The source has provided us a plethora of information regarding the Justice League movie, one of which was mention of its 2015 release, as well as additional movies spinning off with a shared movie universe, including first mention of the Batman 2016 reboot and the possible actor to play the role, with new Superman Henry Cavill starring.
