Marvel fans can kiss the Eternals goodbye as they “likely” won’t be appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, according to Lauren Ridloff, who played the woke version of Makkari in the film.
Marvel Studios recently confirmed twenty-seven actors for Avengers: Doomsday, and not one of them is from the Eternals movie, which is among the worst-performing films in the MCU, along with The Marvels, Black Widow, and Captain America: Brave New World.
The critic reviews weren’t good and the fan reaction wasn’t positive at all. Eternals 2 isn’t happening. Now they apparently won’t be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday and are sitting out yet another big Marvel event.

What did Lauren Ridloff say?
The Direct caught up with the actress and asked if she is showing up with any of the Eternals, as Avengers: Doomsday is in production. Lauren Ridloff replied:
“Not likely. I don’t know, my magic eight ball is telling me ‘Not likely.'”

Maybe the Eternals will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Richard Madden also stars in the Russos’ Amazon TV series, Citadel, which also happened to bomb big time, but since they still have ties to the actor, maybe a few of the Eternals will eventually make their way into Secret Wars. That seems to be the best the fans can hope for.
There was a slight reference in Captain America: Brave New World, but Marvel didn’t bother to put any of the Eternals in the film.

MCU needs a reboot
Since the Eternals didn’t go over well in the MCU, it’s speculated that those characters that haven’t been successful, such as the aforementioned Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, might get “The Snap” treatment of their own. The Russos have said Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are not an ending but a new beginning, so it’s speculated an MCU reboot is coming.
None of the MCU films post-Endgame have been any good except for the legacy characters, Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Wolverine, and the MCU is bombing big time on Disney+. The viewership for Daredevil: Born Again is among the least-watched MCU shows on the streamer. Disney has cut output and cut budgets even more.

What about Eternals 2?
All the evidence points to Eternals 2 not happening.
The movie wasn’t any good. It was way too costly. Kevin Feige has even confirmed there are no plans, the woke producers have been fired, and it’s even said Disney CEO Bob Iger believes a sequel would flop.
We can also add that Kit Harington is said to have been cut from Blade scripts, and Kumail Nanjiani is rumored to have moved to green pastures with James Gunn in the DCU.
It seems the only eternal thing about Eternals is that it will be eternally forgotten.
